How ever you choose to describe it – a landslide, a standing ovation, a high-five, a big thumbs up – the results were extremely positive of a recent taste test of two of our newest items in an After School Program with Milwaukee Public Schools. Elementary students in the Bethune Academy were wild for the New Veggie Pinwheels and the New Hot Meal Breaks Anaheim Burrito Bowl! Using raffle tickets, the 66 students participating in the taste test put their tickets in either the “like” or “dislike” buckets for scoring, and the results . . . drumroll please . . . 91% of the students liked the Veggie Pinwheels and 82% liked the Burrito Bowl. Many of the students came up after the sampling and asked for seconds. Even the adults managing this program expressed their “likes” for these two items and agreed they would make great additions to the Afterschool Program menu.

The Whole Grain Veggie Pinwheel is homemade with the corners folded and gilled. Easy to hold, this item contains mozzarella cheese, broccoli, spinach and garlic Each Pinwheel meets 2 meat and 2 grain requirements. Other varieties available include Philly Steak & Cheese, and Reduced-Fat Turkey Pepperoni.

 The Hot Meal BREAKS Anaheim Chicken Burrito Bowl features chicken, brown rice, beans, and corn with a terrific Mexican flavor. There are 5 additional varieties available. Our new Hot Meal BREAKS are the answer to our customer’s request for more ‘home-style’ hot meals that are easy to heat and serve.
