Good news for schools and families — School Breakfast Program participation continues to rise across the country, according the latest annual School Breakfast Scorecard. On an average day in the 2015-2016 school year, 14.2 million children participated in the School Breakfast Program; 12.1 million of them were students eligible to receive free and reduced-price meals.
To recognize the National School Lunch Program and the 30 million children it serves every day, schools across the country will celebrate National School Lunch Week from October 10-14, 2016.
