Did you see that article about school breakfast? “Which one?” you ask. Take your pick – that’s the good news. There seems to have been a lot of “ink” devoted to School Breakfast lately.
“Take Time for School Breakfast” is the School Nutrition Association’s theme for this year’s National School Breakfast Week (NSBW), March 3-7. They’ve developed a variety of tools and activities to help you promote it.
FRAC’s recently released annual School Breakfast Scorecard found that more than 10.8 million children received a free or reduced-price breakfast on the average school day during the 2012-2013 school year, an increase of nearly 311,000 children from the previous year.
