On an average day in the 2014–2015 school year, 11.7 million students eligible to receive free and reduced-price meals participated in school breakfast, an increase of 4.2 percent or nearly 475,000 children over the previous year.
Summarizing the effectiveness of its school district’s Breakfast in the Classroom program, Erie, Pennsylvania schools Superintendent Jay Badams said the program “has delivered in every respect.” What a well-deserved, ringing endorsement for Classroom Breakfast!
